16 and Pregnant
December 28th, 2010 by janeyTonight, MTV will air a special called “No Easy Decision” (11:30/10:30c) that tells the abortion stories of 3 young women.
Abortion has largely disappeared from public debate. Shows like 16 and pregnant, or teens on Juno and Glee are dismissive of abortion. We are anxious to see how abortion will be treated on the MTV program, but glad that the program was made and hope that it leads to thoughtful discussions among young people.
Exhale has started a site called 16 & Loved to give public support to the young women who told their abortion story. Its a wonderful site, please visit and add your comments!
